IDLEMAN: "The date is the 28th of June, 2023. Good morning officer Kerridge. I'm a private investigators hired by the parents of <REDACTED>. I'm here today to ask you some questions about the crash on <REDACTED> the other night. I was told by your colleague officer Hillard that you were one of the officers who searched the scene."
KERRIDGE: "Yeah, I was. Can we make this quick?"
IDLEMAN: "I'll try. First I need you to consent to the recording of this session."
KERRIDGE: "I consent to the recording of this interview session."
IDLEMAN: "Great. It's my understanding that nothing of note was found during your search. Please tell me anything you remember at all. Every detail can help."
KERRIDGE: "Listen, we got there so long after the kid had gotten up and run away. I'm confident that there was nothing there."
IDLEMAN: "Okay, but any detail that you saw could help. Were there any footsteps, or anything odd, anything at all?"
KERRIDGE: "No. No footsteps. Indicates he probably been running a while so they went away. No lost items, nothing."
IDLEMAN: "Officer Hillard mentioned there were tire marks in the grass."
KERRIDGE: "Yeah. What about 'em."
IDLEMAN: "Nothing, just wondering if you had any comment."
KERRIDGE: "Don't waste my time. There's a crashed car. No shit there's gonna be tire marks."
IDLEMAN: "Listen, we both want to find this kid. I think we both have that in common. So please, cooperate."
KERRIDGE: "What is wrong with you people? Yeah, of course I want to find the kid. But it's open and shut. Kid stole the car, crashed the damn thing, and ran off so he don't get beat! Going back and questioning the evidence we already got ain't doing a damn thing. Kid'll either show up when he realizes he needs mommy and daddy, or he's lost and dead. Let that poor family accept that instead of taking their cash so you can kick a dead horse for a week to tell 'em the same shit we already been knowing. How 'bout you go join the search party instead, you wanna find him so bad. Or do you like making money for doing jack shit better?"
IDLEMAN: "I think we should end this session. Thanks for your help."
