IDLEMAN: "The date is the 28th of June, 2023. Good evening Ms. Winters. I'm just here to ask some questions about a call about a crash the other night."
WINTERS: "Yeah, Thomas told me you'd probably want to talk to me. I'm happy to help."
IDLEMAN: "Great. Before we begin, I have some things I'm required to say. I'm here on the behalf of <REDACTED>. I will be recording this interview, and need your consent to do so."
WINTERS: "I consent to this interview being recorded."
IDLEMAN: "Now we can begin. Can you tell me about that call?"
WINTERS: "Yes. So, the first weird thing was that everything was said by this robot voice."
IDLEMAN: "Like it was talking through a fan?"
WINTERS: "No, no, like, computer generated. Not a filter to make the voice anonymous, it was like a scam call, but less natural."
IDLEMAN: "I see. Was it an automated call?"
WINTERS: "I'm not sure. They weren't responding to anything I was saying, but as far as I know someone could have been on the other end typing the words live."
IDLEMAN: "Okay, what was it saying?"
WINTERS: "Well, first it said that there was a crashed vehicle on the side of <REDACTED> by <REDACTED>. Then it just kept on repeating the same, like, cryptic sentence."
IDLEMAN: "What was it?"
WINTERS: "I can't quite remember, it was saying that something was coming or getting closer."
IDLEMAN: "Something?"
WINTERS: "No, no, sorry, not something, I just can't remember what it was. The something... was nearing. That's what it was. It kept saying that the something was nearing."
IDLEMAN: "Can you remember anything about what that something was?"
WINTERS: "It was an O word I think? The O... O...-"
IDLEMAN: "Oracle?"
WINTERS: "Yes! The Oracle! The voice kept on saying 'The Oracle is nearing' over and over. It freaked me out, I thought it might have been some computer expert playing some sick prank since we couldn't track the number. But when the car was found, well, I don't know."
IDLEMAN: "Do you have this call on record?"
WINTERS: "That's the thing! I wanted to listen back to it or try to bring it up to detectives on the missing persons case, but it was gone! No record of the call even exists."
IDLEMAN: "So it was deleted? Did you tell this to the detectives?"
WINTERS: "Yes, but they didn't say anything about it in their report and never brought it up to me again."
IDLEMAN: "Interesting. Thank you so much for your cooperation. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreaciate this."
WINTERS: "Absolutely. I'm happy to help."
